AI Features Disclaimer

Lot Barrier™ Pro and Pro + Appraisal plans include artificial intelligence features powered by Claude, an AI system developed by Anthropic, PBC. These features are designed to save dealers time and improve efficiency. This disclaimer explains what these features do, their limitations, and your responsibilities when using them.

What it does: Generates vehicle listing descriptions based on details you provide (year, make, model, mileage, price, color, features).

Limitations:

• AI-generated descriptions may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or language that does not accurately represent the vehicle
• You must review and edit all AI-generated listing copy before publishing
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all published vehicle descriptions
• AI-generated content may inadvertently include claims that violate advertising regulations — you are responsible for compliance with all applicable advertising laws

What it does: Generates draft SMS messages for following up with hot leads based on the buyer's name, vehicle of interest, stated timeframe, and payment method.

Limitations:

• Draft messages are suggestions only — review before sending
• You are responsible for all communications sent to customers, including compliance with TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) and applicable SMS marketing laws
• Ensure you have appropriate consent before sending SMS messages to customers
• AI drafts may not reflect your business's tone or specific circumstances

What it does: Generates draft private responses to intercepted negative reviews based on the star rating and customer feedback text.

Limitations:

• Review response drafts are starting points — personalize before sending
• Do not send AI-generated responses without reading and editing them
• You are responsible for all communications with customers
• Resolve legitimate customer complaints in good faith regardless of AI-suggested language

What it does: Analyzes three customer-submitted photos (VIN sticker, odometer, exterior) to estimate vehicle identity, condition, and wholesale value range.

Your responsibilities:

• Always physically inspect a vehicle before making a purchase offer
• Use SmartAppraisal™ estimates as a starting point for conversation, not a final decision
• Verify VIN and vehicle identity independently before completing any transaction
• Conduct or obtain a proper mechanical inspection before purchasing any trade-in
• Consult current market data (Black Book, MMR, Manheim, local comps) when making purchase decisions

SmartAppraisal™ provides a confidence rating (High, Medium, or Low) with each estimate. These ratings reflect the AI's assessment of its own reliability based on photo clarity and identifiability. A "Low" confidence rating means the estimate is particularly unreliable and should not be used without significant independent verification.

When you use AI features, relevant data is transmitted to Anthropic for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data is transmitted and how it is handled. We do not transmit personally identifiable customer information (full names, phone numbers) to AI systems for processing.

Lot Barrier LLC is not liable for any losses, damages, or claims arising from your use of or reliance on AI-generated content, including but not limited to:

• Financial losses from trade-in purchases based on SmartAppraisal™ estimates
• Customer disputes arising from AI-generated listing descriptions
• Regulatory violations resulting from AI-generated marketing or customer communications
• Decisions made based on inaccurate AI analysis

By using AI features, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Lot Barrier™ is providing these tools "as is" without warranty as to their accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose.
